Behold the treasures of Zara. I've had this bag for a while, but it's always fun just looking at it and seeing all the studding and zipper trims used in a way that works that isn't overdone. It's funny because I was just shopping downtown and fell in love with it, so I bought it. One sales associate at Aritzia even knows me as the Zara studded bag girl since she loved it and wanted to buy it as well. Bad news for her is that I haven't seen that bag in any of the stores after I bought mine, so my rule of thumb when shopping at Zara is if you're totally enamored by an item, buy it right away because Zara has a tendency of not re-stocking often (or at all). Sadly, it's not real leather, but that's okay since that means I can wear it during the wet rainy days.

Thanks to the rainy days, these have been my staples. Yes some people may stare at me as a click-clack my way to class or down to the skytrains, but you know what? I don't care. Why have fancy clothes and shoes if you don't plan to wear them out on a daily basis. And I don't mean any disrespect to some students, but I would never be caught dead wearing a sweatpant/shirt combo to class, even if I was sick (which I was) or tired from studying the night before (which I also did today). I just hate when people give you that look, like why is she dressed up? why is she wearing heels? Well why are you wearing sweatpants and pajamas in public?! /end rant.

Sooo I haven't done a feature in a while, but this bands pretty awesome! Too bad they're actually indie (as in independent, not as a genre), so much so that they're literally a garage band. I don't think they're active anymore, but I stumbled onto their myspace page a looooong time ago while searching for another band of the same name. Very random, but a GOOD random, since it got me into listening to their music, and it's pretty great, so give them a listen, and hopefully, they'll get back together and make more!
